The Shurfine Central Buy program was developed to combine the buying power of independent wholesalers in order to keep their retailers competitive in the marketplace. "The Central Buy Group combines the purchasing power of 31 distribution centers across the nation to leverage its combined aggregate needs for fresh meats in today's ever changing marketplace."
We offer a complete HACCP Food Safety System that enables the retailer to identify the foods most likely to cause foodborne illness, build in procedures that reduce the risks of foodborne outbreaks and monitor all procedures to ensure food safety.
Our Value-Added Meat Program will help retailers meet their customers' demand for prepared foods. Consumers want fresh, healthful, easy-to-prepare foods which can be cooked at home. Items like mesquite barbecued ribeye steaks, lemon and pepper chicken breasts, and stuffed peppers are some of these unique offerings.
The AWI/Baltimore Crab Co. Cross Dock Seafood Program enables AWI to provide it's retailers an extensive variety of fresh and frozen seafood daily. Baltimore Crab Co. representatives contact our retail members daily. Retail Support and Training Seminars are available to all participants in this program.
AWI also offers numerous holiday purchase programs such as Christmas and Easter Holiday Hams, as well as Thanksgiving Turkeys.
